The value of English

                                English is an international language. This is the most useful language in the world. Although English is not the most spoken language in the world, it is the official language in 53 countries and is spoken as a first language by around 400 million people worldwide. But that's not all, it is also the most common second language in the world. if we study English we can know about the world in reading books. we can't do our higher studies without good English knowledge. during our school life, we have studied three or four languages. They are Sinhala, Tamil, French, and English. some people are studying the language of Hindi. However, my favorite language is English. I am trying to improve my English knowledge day by day. we can't find a suitable job without good  English knowledge. 

                                My mother language is Sinhala. but as a second language, I would like to speak British rule for a long time. English their language. As the British ruled the country in English, the people Sri Lankans had to learn English from that time English has been a popular language in Sri Lanka. I like to speak English without any hesitation. There is a great saying that " English is an ornament in one's personality". These days I am studying English at my university. I usually participate, my English lectures every day during the lectures time I improve my reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills this is the key to enter to this competitive world. I love this language very much.
